I haven’t been keeping up on these chronicles mostly because it’s just boring, but I think it would be a good thing to get back into doing.  Right now the usual symptoms are still rattling around, with the side/pelvic pain coming and going.  Knee pain has been pretty bad, but the only really significant pain is in my right little finger joint.  It’s painful to the touch, painful to move, straighten, type, get dressed, drive, everything.  It’s been slowly getting worse, but last night was the peak of the problem, waking me up at 3:30 AM and keeping me awake the rest of the night.  It’s at a pain level of 9 not moving and 10 when I move or touch it.  The relentlessness scale is at a 10.  There is definite swelling, but no injury, no infection.  I’m not sure how long to wait to go to the doctor.  The problem is that my other fingers and wrist are joining in the pain without having the same swelling or tenderness as the little finger.  So silly to be struck immobile by a little finger, but the pain is bad enough I know my blood pressure is up.  The lack of sleep affects everything else as well.  I just can’t quite get my courage up to walk into an ER and say, excuse me, my little finger hurts.  I don’t think I can do that.
